Vidya graduated with First Class Honours in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Birmingham and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2023.
Prior to joining the firm, she practised at another leading law firm under an eminent Senior Counsel, gaining experience across a range of civil and commercial matters, both contentious and advisory. She has assisted in proceedings at all levels of the Singapore Courts.
Among other matters, she assisted in a 50-day trial before the Singapore High Court involving a US$3.5 billion dispute, representing the former managing director of Hin Leong Trading in claims including, but not limited to, fraudulent trading and breaches of directors’ duties. She has also acted in trust-related claims concerning breaches of trust and fiduciary duties under Singapore and foreign law.
Vidya values the intellectual rigour of legal practice and approaches her work with clarity and careful analysis. She recognises that the law is a discipline of continuous learning and growth, and she embraces that process as a core part of her practice.
In her free time, Vidya enjoys long walks and slow books.
