Adorabelle was called to the Singapore bar in 2020. Prior to joining the Firm in December 2024, she practised in a busy litigation and dispute resolution team at an international law firm. She also assisted with project development, advising on virtual power purchase agreements, EPC contracts and concession documents.
Adorabelle’s areas of focus are commercial disputes and appellate litigation, international arbitration as well as defence against legal and medical professional misconduct. Her experience in commercial disputes and appellate litigation spans contractual and shareholder disputes and restructuring and insolvency. Notably, she acted for the liquidators of Ocean Tankers (Pte) Ltd (in liquidation) in their successful appeal in DGJ v Ocean Tankers (Pte) Ltd (in liquidation) [2024] SGCA 57, where the Singapore Court of Appeal considered novel issues in the law of assignment and insolvency set-off.
As for arbitration, Adorabelle has acted in and advised on proceedings governed by the SIAC rules, LMAA Rules, AAA Rules and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. These concern various sectors, including commodities, employment and shipping. Adorabelle also frequently represents legal and medical practitioners in their defence against professional misconduct. She has had experience in proceedings before disciplinary tribunals as well as the Court of Three Judges.
Adorabelle believes in giving back to society. She is a volunteer with the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme. Outside of work, Adorabelle helps out at legal clinics regularly and enjoys long-distance running.
